Assignment

To manufacture and implement a new Way finding Signage program for Federated department stores five divisions nationally (Macy's East, Macy's West, Burdines, Richies Lazarus Goldsmith and Bon Marche). Visually designed sketches and renderings were provided of the various elements of the program.

Solution

Millennium engineers and designers developed a unique aluminum extrusion system. Various elements were mass produced using Injection Molding process. Various in house processes such as Lenticular graphics, screen printing. Laser and Water Jet cutting were implemented. Large Vacuum formed components were produced keeping the architectural and visual aesthetic of the elements. A dedicated team of project managers and fabricators were assigned to the program. A complete in house logistic distribution plan and installation was provided to this rollout program

Outcome

Dramatically improved navigating within various departments. Major savings in engineering and recommended production costs to client. Re-established the store's solid reputation and leadership in the market. Instantly increased brand awareness and sales in non-visible departments. The new signs decreased waiting times and increased customer satisfaction.
